From Caracas to Barcelona.
01 / 06Thirteen years in the game. Born in Venezuela, now based in Europe. Fatbwoy came up in Caracas's underground nightlife as an enigmatic figure — before anyone knew his face, they knew his selections.
His first steps as a producer came through K&M Soundsystem, released on The Get Down Records out of Bristol in 2018. Reggae and hip hop remain the catalysts: Caribbean influences running from salsa to dancehall, filtered through hip hop DJ technique — remixing, live scratch, on-the-fly production. The result is a style built on deconstruction: take a record apart, put it back together as something that moves a room.
In Barcelona, that sound has landed at Poblenou Urban District, Music Urban Circuit 2021, Skratcher Sessions, Metric Bar and Extreme Barcelona 2021, among other stages.

His selection moves through dancehall, hip hop, afro grooves and tropical bass — connecting roots to a contemporary global view. Every set is an exploration of sound system culture: vinyl, raw energy, musical narrative.
